Tony advertised one TS-2000 in December. I overnighted a money order for that radio. After a week of not communicating he finally said that he would ship it out. The day it was supposed to ship he said that it was stolen along with a second TS-2000 he sold from the same ad....... As of today I have received 25% of my money back and his phone is now disconnected and he does not respond to emails. The buyer of the other TS-2000 has not received any money as of this date.

This is not the first time that Cannuli have taken money from someone. From the past lesson, you probably won't get your money back.
If only someone had posted info about Cannuli on the Hamster Shack before, where all could see, you may have been spared the loss.
The need for this database becomes evident.

I've given up singing that tune.
A highly visible data base for everyone to review (easily) would provide volumes of assistance prior to making a "deal".
I gave up on that.

Hey - that's right Orv ... sheesh, I wish that I would have thought of that.
This guy has been around at least a year. Amazing, since the FBI has an internet fraud unit. His MO is that all money has to go to his wife at a PO Box. Then, comes all the reasons, excuses, sad stories, etc...

Update October 2003
Tony Cannuli KO4KV still has not returned $900 to me and $1200 to KB5SIT for a Kenwood TS2000 he sold to both of us and did not deliver.
He has moved at least once and does not return phone calls or emails. A collection agency I hired failed to produce a Social Security number for this Extra Class Ham.
I am adding him to my bad-guy list. TOM K8ERV (gudguy).

This guy sounds like a real winner. Hope he gets what he deserves..........and everybody gets the money and or equipment.

He has a habit of returning every year or so and stealing money from unsuspecting hams.

I found a number on the athensga craigslist for him but ithe ad was removed and I don't know what date it was posted.
