On November 26, 1997 John Llopes became a silent key. #John was a wonderful influence to amateurs, old and young. #
He helped many new young hams with limited funds start their stations, often building transmitters, antenna tuners and other accessories. #
John was always available to lend an ear and help solve a problem.
I was a young ham of 14 when I met John in the late '50's. #He helped me along with a lot of my fellow hams.
Although John is now gone, I will always remember him for his sage advice. #When I am confronted with a challenge in solving an electronic mystery, I say to myself, what would John do.
Thanks for people like W3GJF that give so much of themselves.
