View Full Version : Just got my General!!!
I just got my old friend to get his tech, so I showed up with him and thought I would give the general and the code a shot..
I knew I would get through the general, but I was still iffy with the code. Well somehow I got through it! It was not pretty But I could make enough sense of it and passed with the 1 minute of continous copy. I wanted to do a little better and thought this was going to be a practice run. But I came out with my GENERAL TICKET!!!

http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif I thought it went "from the glass lined vats of old Latrobe...."
I could be wrong, though, it's been a while since I have had a bottle of Rolling Rock in my hand.

KB1JDK, Spencer:
Congrats on passing the General. I am sure you will have the Extra in short order.
I noticed a very great likeness between you and Jack. Is it safe to guess that Jack is your dad, and he is a silent key? If so, do you intend to assume his call? I know many that have done that, and it will be a good tribute to him if you do so.
Just being nosey.
GREAT JOB and have fun... my dad told me when I got the general ticket, this would be the most pleasureable license to have, and he is right.. He is an extra, and tells me don't get in a hurry for that Extra, that I do want, have fun, take some time off and enjoy your new priviledges.. then hit that book hard.. hope to hear you on the air.. http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I got my 13 wpm cert the same way. I was using a computer program for practice and didn't know I could copy 13 wpm because I can't type 13 wpm! Boy, was I surprised!
