I'll check e-ham, of course, but wanted to see if anyone here had experience with one. I'll be using it with an ICOM IC-7000 and (maybe) a U-shaped dipole hung under my eaves. I like the ability to manually tune when I am SWL.

Got one...had it since...gaahhh 06? (would have to check my reciepts) anyhow, i havent had problem one with it. I did make a modification to it and pulled out the old incandescent meter light and used a white diode. I like it.

It's a pretty good tuner. Like all MFJ products, you might want to pop the hood and see that everything is bolted down and soldered that's supposed to be bolted down or soldered. Other than that, go for it. :)

I had one.
It worked quite well :)
until lightning fried it. :(
Only drawback is the 300 watt power capability limitation.

Using one since 3 years now, no issues except the lamp burned out in 2 weeks time.
Led replacement will last a lifetime.
Chugging along just fine, used at home, holliday, Jota/Joti from full siz 80/160 meter loops OCF, Ladder line fed dipoles, zeppelins, random length wire etc.
Still 5 out of 5 for me.

I had a 993 and sold it to get a 998. Great tuners. Would buy one again, in fact I may need to soon...

Currently using one. Feeding a 181' horizontal loop fed via 450ohm ladder line.
Aside for it being annoyingly loud while tuning. The thing has been rock solid for the 2 months that I have had it so far. Running 100w through it for now.
