As for the rig.......
I'm not just happy, I'm astounded. This being the first Standard rig I've ever seen or owned, I had no idea what to expect. The Marantz name should have clued me in to the quality and professionalism. Just thumbing through the manual made me recognize that, aside from Kenwood, the Big Shots regard their Ham radio product lines as an afterthought at best. It's no suprise to me now that Standard is a best-kept secret. After 30 years in Production and Engineering, I know quality when I see it. You can bet from now on I'm going to snatch up every piece of Standard gear I can lay my grubby fingers on..............
