Im looking to purchase this rig with B-day cash. Im looking to set up an echolink node, ill often use the X-band repeat, Im going to be a net controller, and I enjoy the price. I have a dual bander on the roof w/ chimney mount, so thats no prob. What Im asking is if there is a better rig for my needs.

If all you want is 2/70 it's the perfect rig and Echolink ready! Just be sure to purchase the cables and your all set as long as you have a serial port or usb to serial adapter and a sound card. I admit it did take a few days for me to get used to all the menus but once you do it's really easy to use.

I did get this radio, and I cant turn it on, It was doing fine for about 2 weeks, but it started resetting on me, then once it just shut down, and I cant get it back up.

Humm weird, are you checking your power supply to make sure it's feeding enough power?
