Hello,
I recently purchased an alinco dualband (2 meter, 440) and was quickly addicted to 2 meter. It's an old radio (1984) without many features, and I'm looking to upgrade to a new ht. I'm looking to get the most "bang" for my buck, as I'm a person who loves to have every feature I can get ahold of. I'm looking at a few that interests me, I think I'm stuck between the yaesu vx-6r or the kenwood th-f6a. I'm really looking for the full receive (cell-blocked of course), at least a dual band, 5 watt power output and the keypad on the radio. the main difference I've noticed between the yaesu and kenwood is that the kenwood has ssb receive as well, but reviews say that it doesn't work well at all, so I'm dismissing that feature. The yaesu seems to have a ton of other "small" features, going down to something as simple as a white led you can use as a flashlight. If anyone has any good reviews on either one of these radios, or maybe even some other radio of the sort, I would appreciate any input you have. For me the 200 dollar mark is a high price for anything, so I would MUCH rather have the BEST BEST BEST for my dollar! Another thing I was hoping for was crossband capabilities for satellite work, but I haven't found anything for that. Again, thanks for your input!

I put in my order through gigaparts for the yaesu vx-6r. I found it at a GREAT price (206.99) with free shipping, so I picked up the yaesu speaker mic for it as well. A good purchase I think :)
