Anyone got any experience of the KZJ 4 band 40/20/10/11 meter antenna as I am thinking of buying one, the price seems good but is it to good to be true ? de M0ZMO

Have a look at the antenna reviews in e ham and you may find some user reports there.

I've just checked out the e bay advert and I have a reasonably good idea who the company is and I believe you could order from him with confidence because he's been making antenna's and selling amateur radio equipment for years. I would suggest that you either make your own quarter wave radial or radials, or buy those already availanble at £15 and place the antenna on a short mast at least four feet above the ground and use raised counterpoise radials at this height. The antenna is not a quarter wave on 40 metres but that shouldn't cause you any difficulties because most of the contacts you will make will be within a 1000-1500 miles anyway. You will have DX contacts on 20 metres and 10 metres will now be open occasionally for a few months because its the sporadic-E season again. If you find that you are affected by RF in the shack put about six coil turns on the coax and that will cure it.

Thanks Mel, I live in a really restricted area my garden is only 21 " x 21" and live in a Bungalow so need something reliable and efficiant, I am currently using a Sandpiper but have replaced the traps due to poor build quality and it really does not work that great.

There may be a difference in build quality between the KZJ and the Sandpiper - I've not seen either, so I can't comment - but there's no difference in the principles on which they operate, so I would not expect any significant performance difference between them.
The key to the efficiency of a quarter-wave resonance vertical is a low-loss ground system. Assuming the vertical is in the centre of your 21'x21' plot, you don't have the space for resonant elevated radials; so simply install as many ground (buried) radials as you are able.
If you already have a good ground system, I don't see any reason to think the KZJ will be more efficicent than the Sandpiper.
