Hello all,

My name is Adam. I am KA1ZFE in the states, KG4BB here in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba! I will be in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba for a while and have found a Ham Shack here that I can use. Many of you have already worked me but I want to put it out there for those who have not! This station will be on the air over the next few months, at least. I will try to work as many people as I can.

I have all band and mode capabilities here so listen on the bands! You can usually find me on the 75M DX Window and around 14.265 when the bands are in good shape. I am usually on the air in the late evening, around 9-10pm EST. I will also be in the CW portions of 20, 30, 40 and 75M. As soon as my rig blaster comes in (Might be a few weeks) I will be on the digital portions as well.

You can always email me for a sched if you need this station on a certain band! I will try and accomodate all as time here allows. email me at adam.forman@us.army.mil for more info.

Also, I have had a huge request for QSL cards! I have had cards made up and will respond to everyone that sends me a card. I will only be able to get the cards if you send them to my home address, which is listed on QRZ under KA1ZFE!

Had a great time feeding the lizards hotdogs and chasing the DX...
They use to have a 10m fm repeater I remember using as well.. Also There was a guy there hmmmm I think he was Steve.. kg4sm.. Wonder if hes still alive..

Make sure you let the little dipole stations in. I know its hard sometimes... With pile ups etc.. I always tried to let the little guys in my taking a list... etc..

Pileups are always tough for the DX op, but worse in the pile. I've always thought if I was the DX looking at a pileup, I'd ask for NEW contacts first (those without a KG4 confirmed). I'd also ask for QRP and mobiles separately And then if the pile was still big, I'd ask for call areas in order of whichever one was most likely to go out first with band conditions. If I was in Gitmo, maybe I'd even separate the pileup from Stateside vs other DX. If it's done with a plan, it can be very efficient and would probably please a lot more HAMS than you'd irritate (can't please everyone!http://www.qrz.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif Sometimes it helps to work split frequency, too, so the pile can hear whom you actually come back to.
Always more critics than authors, I know.

GM Adam... In the Spring, don't forget 6M if you have a rig. Just a simple dipole should be able to work us here in the Northeast. Lot's of guys need you on 6M.

Hello all!

I have had such a great responce from alla of you and I will try to work as many as I can. I have had so many great communications with everyone and I have recieved alot of QSL's as well. I am replying to all that have send cards already.

One of our main antennas is down and it will take a few days to get back up so please be paitient. I do not ahve alot of free time here but when I can I get on the air. I will be on as much as possible but my times have changed. Now I can only get on between the hours of 3-8pm EST. This will change in the future...

hi adam,i wrote to you, because i see you are in guantanamo base in cuba,where are one friend of mine,soto arnaldo who are member of the national guard ,asigned to serve there. also is my partner in the police department in puerto rico.if you can see my friend,tell him we , in the pd,miss him.
