First of all, thanks for your comment, input on the subject.
As a Ham Operator, I can modifiy any equipment I have, store purchased or home constructed, if I have the desire. I would put my head on a chop-block and say, most mod's are in the receiver and for WARC (12m/17m/30m), plus for MARS operation.
I didn't say, I was going to kill anyone. Having bowels in hand does not mean person will be killed or dies. The threat is still there, the movement of a person with a weapon I pay particular attention to, I've had sufficient training in weapons/tacts/riot/infiltration, etc.
As for the foul-mouths, listen from 24Mhz and up, all modes. Listen on 10 meters: 28085 AM, 28145 AM, 28305 AM, 28535 AM just 4 freq.'s of many trucker's that have assumed Illegal operating privileges. Sentence structure and vocabulary are lower than Whale do-do below the Ocean floor.
Now, your a Ham and a Trucker, why do most Trucker's use the descripted word $%@#! over THEIR RADIO? Macho? Need attention? Peer pressure? At a Bar with the Boy's it's probably OK, not over a radio.
Running 1KW in a vehicle CAN be done, $$$$ is a requirement first but it has and is done.
