I stand somewhat corrected!
What I understood ILINK to be was just a wire connection, using the Internet from a home location. However, it still depends on a wire link for a portion of the connection. However, it does fall within the range of "digital" communications using amateur radio so far as the connection to the repeater, etc. But, I also understand that it is possible to access ILINK from a home computer.
Hey, if this is what turns someone on, so be it! But, in my opinion, this is not "true" amateur radio since you are relying on the equivalent of a landline link for the majority of the connection. Anyway, I sure hope that this is not the "future" of amateur radio!
