You may want to take a look at this site as I purchased one from there a few months ago and am very happy with it:

and for other manufactures and how they rate, check out this site:

Make your own. You will save a LOT of money.

Amidon sells complete building kits for baluns.

I roll my own, up to 5 kW.

Teflon coated wire from Airbus sources, but that will be available too in the US

Saves a bundle, and you learn, all part of the hobby.

Buying from the US will cost you lots of wonga, surely they must be making these in Germany ?

Yep.

Fritzel, now sold through Hofi, can supply baluns for us, the AMA range is good for 2 kW pep, the higher range is up to 5 kW.

For the US members, local or national stores will sell the cores and wire as well.

Here's a pdf for the different baluns they make, the top line is the same, they just can handle more power.

Since you have to redo your antenna anyway, I'd recommend losing the coax, and use ladder line & a KW matchbox. No balun to deal with, there's extremely low loss, and it makes your antenna usable on multiple bands. PLUS, you don't have to prune the antenna to make it resonant. With a matchbox you might have to adjust the length of your feedline, but that's a LOT easier then adjusting the length of an antenna.

Oh, that Matchbox could be pricey. I've heard that the smaller matchbox can probably take max. SSB power, or you can build one. They're not that difficult.

My 2 cents.
