Hi All,
Im restricted for space...many have advised for HF, a Loop, and given my circumstances Im inclined to agree, the 1meter square copper version for 20mtrs would be my first real hombrew attempt but one which Id like to attempt. The bible I hear?, is the 1988 edition of the ARRL Antenna Handbook, do you agree, or would the current edition offer just as good advice on antennas in restricted space and more?

Naturally I want to go for the edition most suitable to my situation. So even if you have a clear PDF well set out link for this square antenna with theory easily followed by all means post a link.

At one meter square I would believe you are talking about a magnetic loop antenna. A google search for "magnetic loops" will assist you in that venture. Here is a good start: http://www.magneticloopantenna.com/

As for the Antenna Book from 1988, I can't help much there since the ones I have are either from the 60's or 70's with 2 from the 2000's... :D

Don't forget the "Loop Antenna Design and Theory" book from the National Radio Club (http://www.nrcdxas.org/catalog/books/index1.html). It's only $13.95 from the club. A lot of it is for AM Radio loops, but the theory and designs are adaptable to other bands.
