I have several virtually unused desktop 'puters in the shelves. I sure would like to turn one into an "Answering Machine"...years ago they sold a product called "Big Mouth" or something similar...I believe it was an answering machine / voice "mailbox" for multiple users(?)
Could anyone point me to a similar product in today's market ( or a suitable substitute) (?)...or am I S-O-L ?
Tnx de KD5HOZ, Billy

Well, you could get one of these digium cards (http://www.digium.com/en/products/analog/tdm410.php) with an FSO module and install asterisk@home (apparently now called "Trixbox CE (http://www.trixbox.com/products/trixbox-ce/features)"). I use the full version of Asterisk, but Trixbox should do everything you're looking for.

I used Advanced Call Center (http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/Business/FAX_Tools/Advanced_Call_Center.html) for a while until I just started forwarding my home phone to the cell.
It worked pretty well. Hope that helps.

You might already have it in your modem software. Check out those CD's you always throw away. :)
