What is the purpose of life?
Of course there are going to be a few similar answers to this particular question but for the most part I believe that we all have a different opinion.
I know many people that feel the purpose of life is redemption. Others feel that life is merely a test before you can pass on to the next realm. Some even feel that life has no purpose or at least no set purpose. I would like to believe that the purpose of life is what you choose it to be but that is not how I truly feel. I believe that the purpose of life is simply to achieve death.
We always speak of the "afterlife" but what of life of itself?
To be honest this is a question without an answer. We do not have the key to unlock the safe in which the answer is stored. Search as we may we will not know the answer until our journey is over and are flame has already flickered for the last time before it is abruptly snuffed out.
So I guess a better question is what is your purpose in life?
Fallen are the stars from the sky as they meet with the flames of the nether on the earth.

Nahhhhh, save time: just do unto others.
There is no purpose of life--it just is. Purpose is a value judgment we, as humans, have imposed upon ourselves...and once you're dead, you're dead. No afterlife. No passing 'Go!' and collecting $200.

Thats about how I view it. You're born, you live, and then you die.

1) Do unto others, then split
2) Outlive everyone you don't like. Keep making enemies until the quality of your new enemies is so low it's insulting. When they all die, you too. But after all of them.

We procreate because it feels good to do it. Same as any other action we do regularly: eat, sleep, defaecate.. whatever. Humans are driven by the pleasure reward system. When we get bored we seek pleasure as a cure.
It is a pretty well designed system. We would be really challenged to stop procreating as a species because it feels great. Who wants to stop that?! lol

I don't know about THE purpose of life, but I DO KNOW MY purpose in life!
I was put here on Earth to RESTORE as many old radios as can be.
Old Hallicrafters, Nationals, Swans and Hammarlunds. OLD Philcos, GE's and Westinghouse. If it has TUBES in it, I am here to fix it, bring it back to life, pretty up the front panel and cabinet and make it WONDERFUL again for future generations. I search the far corners of the Earth for radios that have fallen into disrepair or cast aside. TODAY I was at a swapmeet, looking hard, but could fine none that met my needs. SO I came home empty. That means I will have to go out again, shortly, and Search somemore. There was another PHilco Cathedral, but the clown wanted $150 for it. There was a National NC-300, but that guy wanted $350 for it. WHERE ARE ALL THE $10 Radios????
None at the Swapmeet today. Being VERY VERY impoverished, I have to find radios that are AFFORDABLE. That means they are in Trashed and THRASHED condition. I take those, repair them and restore them to all their original beauty and elegance. So I got Skunked today. Spent $30 in gas on a Wild Goose chase. But there is always the chance I will find SOMETHING, and today just wasn't the day. So it is back to Ebay, where the FILTHY RICH bid against me. I see I am BLOWN AWAY on a Heathkit DX-35. Maybe another one will come along. I can only get the radios NO ONE ELSE WANTS!
They go for an affordable price. But when I do, MAGIC occurs.
So that is my purpose in life. To take radios that are just about complete TRASH and restore them to near NEW condition.
Wish someone would have a radio they are throwing out. I even put up a sign at ELKS saying "impoverished collector looking for old tube radios".

My purpose in life is to live long enough to be a berden on my children as they have been on me. :)

Could it be that the purpose of life is to support Credit card companies and make the utilities richer?
NAW, it is to live long enough to piss off your ex wives by giving away more than they thought you were ever going to be worth.
