Looks like Congress (the opposite of PROgress) wants to delay the DTV transition to June 12.

I wish they'd just get it over with already. So many have prepared and many who aren't prepared now won't be prepared ever.

It's just like everything the government does. 99.9% f***ed.
Excuse me, I'm going to go hold my Sacajawea dollar.

Now now folks. Remember, Congress believes its job is to keep all people happy (and fed, and clothed, and healthy, and equipped with the latest technology) all the time. And, gosh, there are some people who aren't happy about the switch to DTV...so let's not disappoint them. Postpone the switch.

If there is one thing about Congress that is consistent it is its inconsistency. They blow with the political winds and don't have the juevos to make tough decisions and stick with them. Time to purge Congress and start over.

Morons. Committee: Any life form with two or more stomachs, and no brains.

Throw the freaking switch already, someone missing an espisode of Jerry Springer is not, I repeat, not going to cause TEOTWAWKI.

...and then deal with the issues as they arise. Only problem is so many of the potential issues will center around outdoor antennas (antennae?), so it's too bad most of the country is freezing it's collective butt off, right now.

Right....and then guess who's going to have to come up with the money that it will cost the broadcasters to keep their analog transmitters going? You don't think the broadcast stations are going to eat that, do you?

The taxpayer, of course. Sounds just about right for a Democratic Congress and Adminstration.

Not to mention Clearwire will likely sue the government for tens of millions of dollars for delaying their roll out.

Stupidity.

I was satisfied the way it was. Didnt hear anyone else complaining, either. The farmer that lived 100 miles out was happy to get snowy reception. Now he will get nothing.

Funny thing is, now we find out we need outside antennas for the most part, and if those same antennas were used on an analog signal, that signal would be crystal clear, too!

DTV= Another bright idea we didnt need.

Yep...Bill Clinton---97-98.

But I also agree with doing it. There are always going to be those who are unprepared for any change. People have had years to get ready for this, and it's about time to abandon such an antiquated system.
