This is cool

Takes a little while to load this and it’s a few minutes long, but this is the wildest thing I have seen in a long time. Holy cow.

If I could ski;
Sure.
Looks like fun.

I have seen the guys in their birdman suites I would love to do that also.

No, I have a profound respect for gravity.

No, I have a profound respect for gravity.

Me to. I would not be caught dead on skis. Have you guys seen me tried to rollerblade and ice skate? I usually make the ice turn red.:D

I went on skiis once and found it the most un-nerving and uncontrollable situation I have ever been in. The only way I could stop myself was to fall over sideways, never again !

Nope, controlled falling is not my desire. I forget what personality disorder this is called. The one where a person is not happy unless they are in danger. Anyone have and answer to that?

I also believe the fact I am now appoaching 59 years old is due to NOT doing stupid stuff like that.

I wasn't even brave enough to click on the link. Ok, so it's not a matter of bravery, it's more that I found no interest.

One thing I always wanted to do was hike in Mountains.

Sadly no Mountains in Illinois.

For darn sure!!!!

I lived in central Illinois back in the early 70s, and that was the flattest place I ever saw!!!

No mountains here either that I can see. Maybe once the snow melts off I'll be able to see them.

It's amazing the stupid s*it people do in search of a thrill...impressive to watch, but I don't think I would attempt it.

The video reminds me of one fact that cannot ever be overlooked:

It's not the fall that kills, it's the sudden stop at the bottom!

Sometimes it's just a question of which sudden stop as you bounce up and down. You have to stop to change directions so there are a number of stops.

Sonny Bono had that same thing happen to him. It was the last time he was on skis too. Cheer up though, you came out of it better than he did. He went to visit one of Greg's colleagues.

My nemesis (like that?) was a wood fence. Bigger target--

Isn't hitting a wooden fence on skis what they call snow boarding?

it's called "youth". I had it once, but I'm over it.

In his case I suppose they had a "UT standing by" ....lucky stiff :D

In this case I think the UT was skiing by.

Nah, no thanks--I prefer hang gliding where at least I can catch a thermal to keep aloft, not just hurl myself over the edge to do some controlled falling.

Hell ya! I have never used a wingsuit but a parachute is another story. I love to go paragliding, skydiving, cliff diving, free diving, and my favorite thing to do is Hang gliding(free jumping of course, none of that getting towed up by an air craft crap).

...but dude I gotta try this!

Nah , I wouldn't do that I don't go on the bunny hill anymore. I prefer extreme skiing.

Holy cow.

I thought you were a CHRISTIAN!

Is your conversion part of the New Greg, the New Year's resolution to shame all others?

So that's what the "Questions of the Day" were all about.

I _gotta_ see how this turns out!

:)
