Can ne mods b done to the kenwood TS 130S to get it to receive general :)band broadcasts?

'KBN is right, to a point. One could modify the various injection oscillators for ranges other than the amateur bands but getting the unit's frequency counter to track the changes is another matter entirely. The counter unit's CPU would have to be reprogrammed, and it's PROM-based.

The 120 and 130 was not a broadband RX. No mods are known to expand RX.
