That depends on how bullet proof they are. The top qualtity ones are indestructible....a nice feature to have when you're dropping them off of towers and such.

I dont know how many IT or TELCO people drop line handsets over xx feet, but then there are some interesting people that do stuff like that.

All professional grade butt sets are heavy duty. There really isn't much any thing as a cheapy consumer grade butt set. They are not consumer tools in the first place.
