I see that another fellow posted a few stores for you. You can also look up nearly any company that may be of interest to hams at http://www.arrl.org. If you type in New York, you will get a list of all the companies for which "New York" appears anywhere in the record. You can also type in search categories, "Radio Dealer" or "Solar" for example, and get companies that way. A convenient list of the search topics is also a link. And, of course, company name, etc.
The search engine is "flat," so it will find any occurence of the search string in any part of the record. So if you remember a company was on Smith St, type in Smith and look through the results.
Just another example of what ARRL is doing in its mission to destroy amateur radio, of course. :-)

Everybody is in a good mood, or they would have flamed you to ash! :-) Seriously, most hams are quite happy to help a newcomer, even if he or she asks the right question in the wrong place.

True, but probably just a PATH or NJT ride away.... I trust the original poster, a native of NYC, will know how or at least figure out that CEDAR GROVE, NJ isnt in NYC, and how to get there.
