Twenty-five people with albinism have been murdered in Tanzania since March. Albinos are targeted for body parts that are used in witchcraft, and killings continue despite government efforts to stamp out the grisly practice.

That's one of the problems in Africa, the whole of the continent has people who appear to enjoy killing each other in the most barbaric way. It was always a problem, most people seem to ignore the fact that for centuries before European navigators sailed to Africa, the arabs had been taking slaves in exchange for money and goods. The Portuguese, then the Spanish, followed by the Dutch, English and French all bartered for slaves from the tribal chiefs who sold their captured tribal enemies into slavery.
Its still happeneing today, but little can be done to stop it, like Mugabe in Zimbabwe. If the truth be told there was more happiness, more contentment, and very little killing of people when the British ruled Southern Rhodesia, Northern Rhodesia, Sudan, British East Africa, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Gold Coast, Gambia, British Central Africa, but its in bad taste to say this.

Alas, Kipling is dead and that sun has set. The Dark Continent has grown steadily darker in some ways.
