Well, whatever it was, I am sure it was the fault of one of two groups:

1. Those dumb noobs who memorized their test, no nothing about code, think that everything should be given them, and came from CB, or

2. Those OFs who think they know it all, are rude to anyone that isn't in their little knowledge group, who forgot what it was to be new and have nothing good to say about anything.

But it could also be the fault of repeater owners who hog frequencies but have no equipment, or the coordinators who take simplex frequencies and never use them.

But it just might be those idiots that are so dumb that they ask questions here at QRZ. Yahhh, that's who it is.

Probably had something to do with the August 2008 QST article on page 52.

A thread titled "I want to build my own 2M Echolink repeater" seems like a good idea.

The answer, valume!

That's either volume spelled wrong or Valium spelled wrong.
Maybe too much Valium and the spelling goes down the tube! :D

John: There is no Podunk (East or West) Texas.. ;) However, there is a Cut 'n Shoot, Texas.. Located between Cleveland and Conroe, a few miles north of Houston.. :D :D

You mispelled "73." It is "73's", or at times, "Number to ya."

I see nothing wrong with Echolink. While I don't use it, I know folks in this area who have worked a good many states and foreign countries on Yahoo.
