I recently heard of his passing . . . 92 years young.
Ken was a pioneer in the VHF spectrum, having been one of the few who braved 6 meters when TVI was a big fear. He also was one of the pioneer moonbounce operators, having worked Arecibo PR . . . and he put Montana on the map for VHF operators back in the 60's and 70's.
I knew him well as a child; he was my neighbor, and his son was my best friend all though grade and high school. He had a penchant for motorcycles; he rode a BMW . . . the loudest noise out of it was the gearbox whine. He also had various vehicles, like the Volvo 444, and Hillman Minx . . .
He probably knew more about VHF than most of us put together . . .
