View Full Version : changing "bad" e-mail address

I've tried to register for QRZ.com and was promised a confirmatory e-mail that must be replied to to finish my registration-but never got it. So, I'm able to log onto this forum, but unable to change an old e-mail address in my listing that has been de-activated because it was hijacked by spammers.

I'm told via auto messages that I don't have the authorization to change my own e-mail address, and a stranger (to me at least) must do this for me. This is a quantum change from any past web experience I've had-I'm not a novice at this stuff.

Can someone help me?

Hello Mike,
for Login you are registered under emailaddress "yourcallsign@arrl.net"
You should receive an email next moments from QRZ.COM

Your emailaddress shown in database is another what is edited and was not changeable. Now also in database is your email "yourcallsign@arrl.net"
Hope problem is fixed

This is standard behavior for any vBulletin forum with the email validation opted on. It ensures users give a valid email address instead of just making one up.
