Dentron Clipperton L Amplier

My Dentron Clipperton L amp. works well with less than the 100% 572b's. The loading control seems to not have the desired effect in that no matter what band is tuned, the fully meshed position never changes. The load capacitor is 800pf and appears to wired properly in the final output circuit.

My experience with other tube amps has been that the amount of load coupling does change and is not the same from band to band.

Any comments from the experts or speculators about this would be greatly appreciated.

In the Clipperton L the bandswitch also switches in fixed capacitance to allow the load control capacitor to stay near center and tune on the selected band. This is not always the case, but in well build amps, on the proper band, and into a 50 ohm load, the load and tune controls usually remain near centered.
