There are other odors coming out of the Middle East. More unbid contracts, more deals for insider friends of the Administration. Never let the best interests of the American people or of existing U.S. foreign policy get in the way of a good business deal for one of George's friends. No it is evil when it undercuts the central Iraq government for whose establishment 1000's of Americans have given their life. It is evil when it promotes more secret dealings. It is evil when furthers more unbid contracts. It is evil when ,in spite of the moving target of reasons GWB has given for the war, it gives America's enemies more cause to believe that establishing U.S. hegemony over middle east oil was the root along. It is evil when the deal is done against the recommendations of GWB's own State Department. And those are only a few of the reasons that come to mind.

You absolutely miss the point. How much of that progress you tout will be undercut if deals are made with regional powers against the wishes of the central government our men and women have fought and died to establish? Try thinking beyond your links-you might surprise yourself.:p
