View Full Version : Four More Years of Cheney? McBush - HELL YEAH!

Like Cheney? Like high oil prices? Then you'll love this:

He's a highly effective fundraiser in an election cycle in which Republicans are starved for cash, a hero to the wing of the party that views John McCain with the most suspicion. He has four decades of campaign experience, ranging from a short stint running Gerald Ford's election bid in 1976 to two successful races on the presidential ticket....

Going further, McCain even told Hayes in comments heretofore unpublished that he'd consider Cheney for an administration post. Asked whether he'd be interested in Cheney had the vice president not already have served under Bush for two terms, McCain said: "I don't know if I would want him as vice president. He and I have the same strengths. But to serve in other capacities? Hell, yeah."

Think gas is high now? We've only just begun if this happens.

Cheney Back For 4 More Years? Yep, if McCain has his way... (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/06/11/mccain-on-cheney-in-his-c_n_106503.html?page=3)

Geez, hope the crazy-right-wingnuts go for it! Can't think of a better way for them to make Herbert Hoover's defeat look good! I can hear the cry now, VOTE CHENY, he's got you over a barrel!

(Nothing against Hoover, you understand, he did some very fine things, but not as President.)

You know.............you guys don't really want Barack(Barry) Hussein Obama II in office. If he gets elected and finds he can't do a !@#$ thing about oil prices using green technology...........your friends across the isle here are going to be putting that little delusion up your collective wazoos. :D

Hey everyone,

I do a lot more lurking than posting, but I have to say it...

What is it with both of our major candidates hanging on to tainted goods? Obama with Gore, now McCain with Cheney? This is crazy, and showing a serious lack of IQ in both parties...

It would be one way to ensure Mr Cheney continued to have cardiac medical coverage at Federal expense, I suppose.

Nope you have it wrong dear sir

Good by to Bush -- he's gone. My point is if someone can call McCain McBush it is only appropriate to refer to Obama as Osama...... both names are just as offensive.

As for Chaney -- I really home McCain things twice before getting in bed with this complete and total idiot. I mean really, what's next, putting Rumsfiled back on the payroll? (Perhaps Chaney will open a Hunting Retreat for some of the usless folks currently in office open to both parties)

Hope this clarifies things a bit............

As for me -- I'm voting Democrat. I'm voting for McCain. McCain is the best Democrat the Republicans ever had running for office....................

You are probably correct that President Obama is going to have a very difficult time solving the total disaster created by Bush and Cheney. It's always easier to break things then it is to fix them. High oil prices are but one of the disasters that Bush and Cheney have brought to us that is going to be hard to fix. Equally hard to repair are the economy, the fiasco in Iraq, and our total failures in foreign policy. Of course President Obama will also have other problems to solve such as how do we provide adequate medical care at an affordable price, finding a solution to illegal immigration, and keeping social security solvent. The Republicans have made such a mess of things that at least President Obama is going to have a Congress with a strong Democratic majority in both houses.

So you are saying that Bush is the same as the world's greatest terrorist? Man if Homeland Insecurity isn't tapping your phone, I'm calling my Congressman and woman. Worse yet, you're shouting it. So by that line of logic, you are supporting terrorism?

NOT ME. See previous poster.:rolleyes::rolleyes:;)

Oh no...............we will not let you off with that little myth.

Your party was the one opposed to any energy policy.

If Osama gets elected I will post every day on the Zed asking where the cheep fuel is...........

;)A millionares country club at that! The millionares in D.C. are out of touch with us working class grunts. It's all been down hill since Eisenhower left office. Looks like oil is going to keep going up and up with no end in sight! Politicians have sat on their butts for 30 years now. None of them have a good energy policy, because big oil companies have a LOT of say in D.C. IMHO

Hmmmm... Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize. Cheney helped start a war on false pretenses. Somehow, I don't think they're at all equal...

If O'Clinton wins (I think he will), we will find very quickly how in touch and in lock step with the democratically controlled congress he is and will probably be in bed with Pelosi and Reid, a threesome.

So, don't throw stones at the threesome Bush, Cheney and Rumsfield. You will have the same sort of thing.

Hmmmm... Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize. Cheney helped start a war on false pretenses. Somehow, I don't think they're at all equal...

Both gentlemen are (or are soon to be) ex-vice presidents after 8 year runs. Both have controversial histories (Gore on the Environment, Cheney on OIF). Both are being used as a crutch by poor presidential candidates that would rather ride coat-tails than stand on their own. Both of them have altered facts rather than represent the facts.

From either party, we need strong candidates, who will lay out viable plans to put the US back on track. We need smart candidates who can navigate us through 2 major regional conflicts, a weakening economy, and escalating energy prices. Candidates brave enough to say words that the citizenry doesn't want to hear, but needs to hear. People that know what it means to tell the truth, and that can make any Eagle Scout proud of their leader.

I honestly fear that neither of these men are up to the daunting tasks ahead, and both of them would do the popular things to get themselves re-elected, vice putting their job on the line to do the right thing. In fact, I wonder if by the end of their terms if either one of them will have cared enough to reverse course and prevent the US from totally losing its hard-fought "superpower" status.

Our only hope would be for at least one of the national parties to put the primaries aside and choose a better candidate. However, I strongly doubt that will happen.

Alas, I admit I don't know who to vote for. Even the third-party choices are lousy this year. So, I shall continue to weed through the trash to find out which candidate is the least of all evils. Wish me, and the rest of the disenfranchised electorate good luck!

Just so we can understand a little better, could you please provide when, where and by who this statement was made. No third party quotes please. The date and location of the speech would be helpful. Thanks

I'll do that later this eve when I'm not at work, I'll get you video so you can watch them say it themselves.

In the meantime I'll be expecting you to provide ample proof and links about your right wing statements from her on out.
