Well, except for the 12,000.
Wow, that is good/bad news. Depends on how you look at it but, I could never see how they could justify the cost of a simple cup of coffee. They got into what I call the McDonalds syndrome, a menu with everything imaginable on it.
Never had a Starbucks coffee. I mean coffee is coffee until you start adding lots of sweeteners, flavors and other doodads. DD is good enough.

P.S. Why is this in the political junkie section? Did Bush have something to do with this too?

Starbuck's is the type of business to suffer first & most in even a mildly receding economy. Not much of a true economic indicator.

I have discovered that George Bush is directly responsible for these Starbuck's closings!

What, are you claiming that his destabilization regime in the middle east coupled with his administrations stated goal of weakening the dollar to promote export had nothing to do with this? :eek::rolleyes:

Well, except for the 12,000.
Starbucks is the epitome of the yuppie establishment. I won't miss em. I do feel bad for the job loss though. That is definately not a good thing.
