Well, OK, I've about reached the frustration level that would make me switch parties.

I keep getting emails from Obama asking me to contribute. It's not enough that he wants me to donate, he wants me to donate at least $25.

Well, I decided against that, but I was willing to give him $5. I drop $5 in their campaign coffers fairly often. So, I clicked on the link to donate, and filled in the information, including my VISA card number and info. When I click to make the donation, it is rejected because the expiration date for the VISA card is wrong. I checked back, and the web page had added several years to the date I entered. I did it again - again selecting the correct year from the pulldown. Once again, it was increased by 3 years. I tried a different card. It failed the same way, with different years involved.

I went to Obama's main site, and tried what looks like the same site, and it worked fine. So, I left them a message about the link in the emails not working, and explained what I did. I got back an email thanking me and urging me to put my money in an envelope and send it in!

Now, I went to democrats.org - they have a nice place to enter comments about technical problems with the website. Unfortunately, you have to enter your email address, and THERE IS NO PLACE TO ENTER IT!

So, anyway, the Independence Party is looking better all the time. I almost think the Democrats' website have been sabotaged and they haven't heard about it because there's no way for somebody to tell them!

I just add this to the frustration I have for the non-party sponsored sites that bear the party's name. I got kicked off democrats.com for mentioning abortion in a comment.

Just because Al Gore invented the internet doesn't mean he knows anything about HTML.

Curious, but how did the dems get your email ? I have never once contributed to any political campaign or given out my email to any political operative.

Obama went so far as to undertake a mass mail campaign for contributions in this area. It has caused a bit of a stir, even among his supporters. Such a huge and obviously well financed campaign has caused some to question the source of such a huge amount of money. The Obama money flow hasn't even started good until after the convention, then the big boy supporters will be forced to reveal themselves in full. Those legal max corporate and PAC contributions will flow like water to the Big O.:rolleyes:

Well, when you work on their campaigns, you get added to a lot of lists, some of which I deeply regret. I was on the email list for a local Republican for a while too, until he sent out a 'emergency email' asking us all to go harass a Democratic candidate when he came to town. That's a felony in Minnesota, by the way. The guy managed to avoid prison somehow, but did lose his re-election. Apparently I wasn't the only Democrat on his list.

It's simply amazing how many people will install a webserver and put all sorts of fancy software on it yet forget to configure ntp.

Dont forget, Obama is going to help pay off Hillary's $10,000,000 debt. $25 isn't gonna help the cause: why dont you open the wallet, let some moths out and send in a couple thou....eh comrade ?
