View Full Version : Anyone know how easy it is to become a Bermuda citizen/Ham ?
Just in case McCain actually get's voting in I would rather live on a deserted island in the middle of nowhere.
A lot of us feel that way if Obama is elected. However, Bermuda hardly qualifies as a deserted island in the middle of nowhere

Hi,
I believe you might need several million dollars in liquid assets (unlaundered) before settlement on Bermuda might be considered.
Now, if you really want a desert Island, may I recommend South Georgia, near to Antarctica. It is an Island, it is deserted (more or less), and it makes a great DXpedition venue. Only thing is that it is not very warm at the best of times. Still, for the penguins................

Maybe we should just send Mccain and Obama there......................and Hillary also to prevent a comeback.

There's a convent on South Georgia? Whoodathunkit.
I don't think I'm leaving the USA for a very, very long time, possibly never.
Dave - depending on your heritage you can always get a second citizenship and settle in the EU.
Let's all immigrate to Mexico, illegally, of course.

Why choose a remote island out in the middle of the Atlantic?
For a new generation of Americans of European descent, the Old Country is becoming a new country full of promise and opportunity, and dual citizenship is becoming attractive.

Unless you have a profession that contributes to society and is needed, and are financially self-sufficient, forget about it.
BTW, good luck in your travels...

You lot have a much more pleasant place in the BIOT (British Indian Ocean Territory), Specifically the Chagos Is.
Diego Garcia is the big name, but there are several islands just north of DG that are uninhabited. One is named Peros Banhos, many sailboats stop, but no perminent inhabitants.

Without even looking, I can assure you the weather is 88 F and sunny, every day!:D
