While John McCain has risen to the top of the heap among contenders for the Republican presidential nomination, Focus on the Family founder James Dobson remains adamant that he will not support McCain’s bid for the White House.

Dobson, one of the nation’s most influential evangelical Christians, declared more than a year ago that he wouldn't support McCain under any circumstances, saying McCain didn't support traditional marriage values.

A Dobson spokesman told the New York Times’ David Kirkpatrick Wednesday that he stood by that position, and as a matter of conscience could never vote for the Arizona Senator.

Good news for McCain. If he is smart , he will run away from nuts like Dobson.

Yeah, I'm one of the millions who have listened to him. That's how I came to the conclusion that he's nuts.

Dobson is no differant than all of his ilk who have gone before. And, like them, we will probably see his entire empire crumble into nothing.

Who knows? Many conservative / Christians are looking for leadership. Many are confused because they have two liberals and don't want to vote for either of them.

Well, c’mon. Be fair. One is a liberal, ostensibly "god-fearing", who has a nice family. The other guy dumped his 1st wife and kids for a young bimbo with money after his wife was disfigured in a car accident, and waited patently for him to return from a POW camp.

Family values?

Privet, Comrade JTB,

Obama's wife mouths off and Barrack (In)sane Obama and his wife set in the front pew listening to Jeremiah Wright spew such things as "G.. D... America" for twenty (20) years. Hard to believe that Wright was ever a Marine.

Read about "the bimbo" here. (http://www.snopes.com/politics/mccain/cindy.asp)

I'm not just overly found of voting for John McCain either, but I will do it just to keep an inexperienced socialist from ruining this country.

Dosvidonya.

I never heard of him until I read it on the Zoo. I avoid the religion scam, politics and other Earthly entanglements as per my instructions. In other words I was born into this corrupt world and must live in it but refuse to be part of it.

"Many conservative / Christians are looking for leadership."

I pity them not having found the truth, the light and the way and will never find it in any leader they seek; it's the leader who does the seeking and they run from him.

Ditto. I'm ashamed to admit I followed him for over 20 years. And the guy you replied to is right, Dobson does have millions of followers in the evangelical christian community. His refusal to endorse McCain almost assures Obama's win. I guess that's one thing we can thank Dobson for.

Yes because an aging socialist is much better?

McCain may share *SOME* ideas with liberals but at least he didn't set in the front row pew of a church with some ignorant moron "preacher" spewing hate about America from his pulpit. He also didn't do "bidness" with a shady slum lord in Chicago who will be serving jail time. The man served in the Navy and was a Prisoner of War *BEFORE* B.O. was probably just a twinkle in his mama's eye.

McCain is the *LESSER* of the two evils. Once again, I'm voting not so much for McCain as I am voting *AGAINST* B.O.

Don't you and Ron Paul have a meetup at the Mother Ship somewhere?

Family Values?

Obama is rated at 100% by National Abortion Rights Action League (http://www.naral.org/choice-action-center/in-congress/congressional-record-on-choice/illinois.html)

By comparison, McCain is rated at 0% by NARAL (http://www.naral.org/choice-action-center/in-congress/congressional-record-on-choice/arizona.html)

Obama voted to keep the procedure known as partial birth abortion where the live squirming baby ("fetus" to the pro-abortion crowd) is partially delivered so only the skull is in the birth canal, and then the brains are sucked out, collapsing the skull, killing the baby.

I was looking through the online bible concordance (http://bibletab.com/) for any instance of Jesus Christ agreeing to the killing of babies or any form of abortion... none. So I think that Obama doesn't fear God too much to keep voting for this gruesome procedure. And neither do any of his supporters.

Follow the links above to see what your elected reps have for a NARAL rating.

Well, c’mon. Be fair. One is a liberal, ostensibly "god-fearing", who has a nice family. The other guy dumped his 1st wife and kids for a young bimbo with money after his wife was disfigured in a car accident, and waited patently for him to return from a POW camp.

As for the old white guy... he is a real piece of work. Dumps wife(1) who waited for him for Ms. Moneybags.

This election, the country is royally in the crapper for choices from either party. Family values seem to be low on the totem pole of either party!

I am taking a long look at Bob Barr.

Please save the public funds used for elections, some time and work will be saved if you just don't vote. The result will be the same. ;):D
