Do you think it would be in Obama's best interest to ask Hillary to be his VP?
My feeling is that if he does not, he will lose many votes over to McCain.
He truly needs to think this one through.

I think he will.
At one time I thought it would be an unbeatable combination, most likely still is.
But on second thought it would be like having 3 presidents for one office.
Don't forget Bill, he will still be an influence I am sure even as they are now calling him the possible "First Laddy".

It is a huge gamble for several reasons. One, the inevitable conflicts between Obama and Hitlary who will always think she is the boss and then there is having a former President in the house as well. Two, the crap shoot over whether having Hitlary on the ticket (who is very much disliked generally according to most polls) would add or cost votes. He's be better off with a more conservative, less controversial running mate.

McCain has a similar problem. To keep many of us conservatives from voting third party or write in he needs to partner up with someone much more conservative than he is and one who is a lot smarter on the economy than he is.

Bottom line this is definitely a poor crop of candidates for the most important elective office in the world. We are in trouble any way it goes.

I think he needs to decide which group is most important:

He can go with Clinton and cover pretty much what she did, and have an appeal to blue collar workers.

Or he can go with Bill Richardson, and have an appeal to western state voters, and Mexican-Americans.

He needs to decide which he thinks will yield the most votes.

I am not sure which polls you are referring to that you speak of when you mention the dislike of Hillary. Most polls I have read show that she actually has more of the Popular vote then Obama.
(By the way, Do you have a spelling issue? You keep misspelling Hillary for some reason). I would think someone that claims to be a former "Chief of Police" would know better how to address someone. Of course, there are always the "Barnie Fife" type, with only one Bullet that is kept in their Pocket for EVERYONES safety!
Your post would have been much better without the references to Hitler!
IMHO

Don't you think a retired police chief would know a master criminal when he sees one?

N6WK in case you haven't figured it out my spelling of Clinton's name varies from Hitlary to Hillarious...both of which are intentionally designed to convey my strong negative feelings about the woman's character. Speaking of spelling I believe it is Barney Fife not Barnie....but I wouldn't know for sure as the closest I ever got to being or working with a back country cop was watching him on TV. All the ones I worked with, including during my time in your county, were true professionals. And, FYI,we all were allocated a full complement of ammunition which at the time was 15 rounds per magazine, none of which was kept in our pockets.

No doubt, Clinton.

Well...Clinton would be good but he really needs to do well in California, true Clinton did well there, but Bill Richardson would also do well, as well as help him with the Mexican-American vote. I think Richardson has something to offer out west, that Clinton doesn't.

But then Clinton offers a lot in blue collar states like Texas and Pennsylvania, both that have large numbers of electoral delegates.

I think Clinton would be the best choice, but I think Obama also has his eye on a western governor or senator, because that area is crucial since he doesn't have much of a connection out there.

Yes, It does appear you have many Negative feelings as it seems most Police officers do now days. I think it is a good thing for America that you are retired! Does the GESTAPO come to mind ? I read your Bio. People like you are probably best kept behind bars!!!
My misspelling of Barney was an error , where your idiotic spellings of Hillary's name was stupid at best!

I hope he asks Clinton to be on the ticket. Yes, the White House might be a little crowded, but I think sometimes, it takes a village...

I can see it now, Barrack, Al and Jesse in the Lincoln bedroom for a conference call from Barrack's minister.
