And we are the only supposedly "intelligent" country that supports its enemies with our tax money.

I don't know anything about CAIR but a call to look at the tax exempt status of many organizations because of politics might provide some unintended consequesnce. Many Christian churhes in this country have provided political direction and criticism to its members. For example, some including the Catholic church, have entered the political arena when telling its members not to vote for anyone who favors abortion on demand. A minister in Obama's church mocked Clinton in a purely political sermon. Removing tax exempt status from organizations that engage in political activity might hit many and perhaps most shurches in this country.

Since when is it illegal to be a Muslim or to be a Muslim organization ? I didn't know that in America certain religions were illegal and mean that you hate America. News to me.

Time to tax any church that involves itself in politics.

That includes churches that preach to their congregation to vote against gay marriage, abortion and other issues.

It also includes the Catholic church that has been encouraging illegal immigration.

Just to be fair I would argue that it's impossible fopr any church to be devoid of political involvement. Religion and politics have been joined at the hip for centuries and will likely be so for centuries to come. Much like technology. It's almost impossible to be a technologist and be apolitical since technology and politics are also joined much as politics and religion.

Do tell? At the present time, I'll be voting for McCain in Nov. and I'm a right wing Republican.

Admittedly in my voting life, I do not recall an election when the candidates available for my vote were my first choice. :)

Just gotta live with what the minor gods of politics deal from the deck.
