A primary is quite different then a Presidential election. Republicans yelled, shouted and kicked down doors to make their point in 2000. The primary is over and the republicans worst nightmare came true. Obama is the candidate against an old feeble mccain.

As a member of the republican party, I think its the other way around. Obama is the democrats worst nightmare. They wanted Hillary.

Not at all.
We're gettin' down to business now, and Obama has nothing but speaking ability. When the show hits the road, he's gonna get left out.
Do we really want to elect someone who has spent 20 years listening to racial hatred from within his own church? Someone who can't even make a simple gesture such as wearing an American Flag on his lapel? Someone who would rather talk unconditionally with a crazed lunatic who supports the death of Israel rather than examine first hand the great work our brave troops are doing in Iraq? Someone who has based his candidacy on the hope America will LOSE the war in Iraq? Someone who refuses to place his hand over his heart during the playing of our country's own National Anthem? Someone whose wife, though she is a graduate of one of the finest law schools in the country and has watched her husband rise in national prominence, is "only now" proud of her country?
OTOH, should he get elected, it won't take long for America to realize the tragic mistake of that election, at which time we will see the final nails hammered into the coffin of the party of Dumbocrats.

If "everyone"wanted Hillary she would have won the delegates..she didnt and Obama will help splinter the republican party... Going to be fun watching mcbush self-destruct by campaigning on the same failed policies of bush. I stand by my statement that Obama is the nightmare the republicans didnt want...

Regarding the flag lapel question... The soldiers who climbed the cliffs during DDay did not wear flag lapels either.. does that make them unpatriotic????? Maybe you should consider important issues, like healthcare, energy policies, security, and the national debt instead of concerning yourself with minor issues like flag lapels, etc.. bush was elected because of wedge issues and American citizens suffered. We have record debt, a healthcare system that is failing, NO energy policy, and we are less secure because of the invasion and occupation of Iraq. mcbush will continue these failures and the country cannot tolerate 4 more years. Today, I watched Obama speak today at the AIPAC Conference... Maybe you should have watched it... One last thing.. Nothing has been as tragic for this country as the bush-cheney fiasco

Yeah... you're right.
Just watch... McCain's desire for engaging, quick-on-your-feet, town hall debates will not be met by BO.
Hollow Barry and his campaign cronies will not let him fail under the weight of uncertainty and a lack of teleprompters. Watch BO remain on the defensive. He will not engage the people or McCain in any rapid fire Q & A sessions -- for he's a neophyte and lacks substance, depth, and conviction.
BO will attack from afar. He will keep pounding his broad and vague ideals; they will remain lofty, intriguing, and aloof -- for that's all he can do well.
Specific facts & answers to today's problems do not become him.

No, he doesn't even have speaking ability. Did you listen to his press conference where he tried to distance himself from Reverend Wright ? It was pathetic. As a speaker he sounded rather weak. Wait till the GOP hits him with the hard stuff. If that's any indication then McCain is the winner.

People know about mcbush's policies because we have been living them for 8 years. A majority of Americans do not want to continue them. People dont watch a movie a second time if they didnt like it the first time... mcbush will pay the price for the bush fiasco. Details of what Obama wants to do is on his webpage... They are there for any and all to read.

Now those United States soldiers who went ashore at Normandy on 6 June 1944 as well as those who parachuted behind the lines did not wear flag lapel pins. However, they were issued arm bands with the United States flag or small flags that were to be attached to the right sleeve of their uniform. Now those members of the 101st airborne and the 82nd airborne were issued flags to be attached to their uniforms shortly before they boarded the aircraft to take them to France. Many of those paratroopers did not sew the flags onto their uniforms because of time restraints. However, those persons were definitely issued flags to be attached to their uniforms.
Therefore, those soldiers who attacked the Normandy coast on D-Day were supposed to be wearing United States flags on their uniforms for identification purposes. There are several sites on the Internet which reference this. Now just how many of these personnel actually wore the flags is not known. But, all of the United States forces who participated in the Normandy landings were supposed to be wearing either the arm bands or have the flag attached to their uniform.
My father's middle sister's husband went ashore on Utah Beach as part of the 2nd wave. I remember him still having the arm band that was issued to him in the 1950s. He died in the 1990s still living in Indiana and I have no idea as to what became of the arm band. I do know that he was injured by a grenade explosion and lost hearing in one of his ears because of the explosion.

For those who think the refusal to wear an American Flag pin or respect our Nation by placing the hand over the heart during the national anthem are inconsequential consider this. If Obama will not do those things what does that say about his respect (or lack of it) for history and traditions of our country? If he lacks in respect for our Nation (which he clearly does) how willing and capable will he be to make the tough decisions necessary to preserve our freedoms? Not very. He is an arrogant elitist indoctrinated and influenced by socialists who will use him as a pawn in their avowed efforts to destroy this country...and even if he were not inclined philosophically to agree with them he is too stupid and too inexperienced to recognize how he is being used.

Off topic buttt, so what. 3 Nail figure people (16D for you technical types) were on the end of a board. One a cop with a clipboard taking a statement. One was a lady nail in her finest (green vinyl clad) and the last was just the head of a nail driven flush with the board. The cop was very intent taking notes, making observations, the lady was hysterical. " I just don't know what happened, he was standing next to me, I heard a very loud whoosh and a BANG and he was gone! Just gone!

And if they didnt wear them were they labeled as unpatriotic??? I highly doubt it... I sincerely doubt many will vote on whether or not a lapel pin is worn or not... There are more important issues facing the country and the republicans are on the losing side...

BFD! No more of an issue than whether or not hams walk around wearing one of those silly callsign badges that make them look like wannabe cops.
But your flag decal won't get you
Into Heaven any more.
They're already overcrowded
From your dirty little war.
Now Jesus don't like killin'
No matter what the reason's for,
And your flag decal won't get you
Into Heaven any more.

As a member of the republican party,
Why associate with a party? Educate yourself on what the candidates have voted for as congressmen and read the bills they voted for and against, then compare it to what they say in their campaign platform.
You can tell if they're a B.S. no good candidate really quickly using this method.
Unfortunately McCain contradicts himself left and right compared to his voting record -- and Obama is about as far away from "FOR CHANGE" as you can get as far as a candidate is concerned. He's just your standard democrat. There's nothing unique about the guys voting record that makes me respect him. I'd like to see some of our constitutional rights preserved, but neither of them care too much about those.
With this method, sometimes I've voted democratic and sometimes republican. I don't have any allegiance to the parties. And I feel like I did the best thing for the country, economy, and citizens rights when I walk out of the booth.
Don't tie yourself down to a party. They're both corrupt after all!
