View Full Version : Polls just closed~Obama will win tonight
Super delegates have brought him to within 5 delegates of the nomination without the polls even being posted for today.
McCain is still screaming he has not met with the CO in Iraq. Does he really need to? The CO knows what his orders will be following the swearing in.
I know the troops at the local fort will look forward to stopping this rotation back and forth to the war zone.

He won't be winning tonight. Hillary will not concede tonight.
It'll be interesting to see how the Obama campaign handles the fact that Obama has no experience compared to McCain.
Will they just whine that "McCain is Bush" or will they just admit it.

That's an easy one.
George W. Bush supposedly had plenty of experience and he still screwed up really damn good.
Therefore experience won't really matter in the end.

Let's hope and pray that a good Independent will run against both of them. I'm not crazy about McCain or Obama.

You are joking, right? You are aware, of course, that this country is controlled by 2 very corrupt political parties that will not surrender their power?

Go REPUBLICANS
I know Mr. Obama thinks he sets the groundrules (don't talk about my wife, my church, my pastor etc etc) but he is in for one very huge surprise. Since many believe, correctly so, that this Nation would suffer in many ways if he is elected President, there will be a concerted effort at real investigative reporting....and not by the so-called mainstream media that is clearly in the tank for Obama. Reputable and independant investigative reporters will delve into a number of important issues, most of which ought to embarass Mr Obama and scare the hell out of the voting public. Just some of those issues are: his family background here and abroad and what the socialist/terrorist links there might be; the attitudes he and his wife have towards the majority of (white) Americans; his ties to still radical, anti-American anarchists from the 60's and 70's; his anti-military (not just anti Iraq war) stance; his anti immigration control position; his ties to the shady and illegal activities of Chicago land mobsters and politicians; and while he has "quit" being a member of Trinity Church his ties to the radical, anti-American, anti-white leadership of that church. He decries racism in his canned and perfected speeches. Good invesitgative work will likely reveal that he is a bit of a racist himself as well as more than a bit of a socialist. He will be forced to abandon his telprompter which makes him look like a skilled orator. He will be revealed for the inexperienced, bumbling easily rattled junior Senator he is. He will absolutely, in the minds of the voting majority come Novmeber, not be the one selected to answer the phone at 3 AM. Obama is not only unfit and undeserving to serve as Commander and Chief but the thought of him carrying that responsibility on his shoulders is down right scary. Those who think Bush was bad ought to tremble at how bad the imposter Obama would be. He is not the Savior" many label him....in many respects he is the anti-Christ.

Oh come now. Bush wasn't half as bad as he's been made out to be. It's just the Democrats still can't believe they lost no ONE but TWO elections to the Shrub . . . hence they HAVE to make him out to be bad AND dumb.
Otherwise, what does it say about them???? :p

Well, sort of...I was partly serious but unfortunately I think, even now, enough voters won't be able to convince themselves to vote for an independent. All the hype about "throwing away your vote", projecting winners before all the votes are counted, and the rest of the media frenzy only serve to keep the major parties in power. I think the media's focus is the biggest influence. If they keep focusing on particular issues, whether they are true or not, the general public seems to just start believing it and acts accordingly. Just report news, not opinions, and don't even think of projecting a winner of each state until all the votes are counted.

No problem, I especially like what Obama had to say on healthcare tonight. I'm sure the healthcare industry is one of his largest contributors because he's going to make them take care of everyone for free!?
I really liked his condemnation of public schools and his hiring of a new army of teachers higher qualified than the present ones. Guess he's going to federalize the public schools? We hire and fire our own teachers around here.

You are sure of a lot of things that are wrong, so it doesn't surprise anyone that you're sure of this error, either.

Senatorial and Presidential campaign contributions from industries classified as "health" industries under U.S. code have totaled $5 million up to this point. Now that he's the Dem candidate, more contributions are now legal. It's all listed on several "watchdog" groups websites and the official U.S. government campaign contribution website. I always check out where the candidates money is coming from before voting. :)

So they contributed less than 5% of what he's raised so far.
Congratulations. You've just shown your previous statement to be incorrect with your own evidence.
I always look at where all the money is coming from.

Sounds exciting. Like president Tweedle Dum and Senator Tweedle Dee. Or vice versa. Both full of hot aire.

Lets hope so. After 4 years of the " O" the dems will be done and the republicans will have paid the price for chasing after moderate and dem votes.

Being in the north (Yorkshire, if memory serves), the Aire is anything BUT hot.
