It's too little, too late. What a dufus!

Q: How many racist pastors does it take for a dense politician to drop a church?
A: More than one!

So Obama is a man of principles is he? As long as the #1 principle is political expediency I guess he is.

I don't think Obama has been to that church much since he joined. It was just to be used as a Christian cover. That's the only viable reason he could be so unfamiliar with what goes on there. I've always thought that his atheist mother was the big influence on him in regards to religion. ;)

Atheism is good. You should try it sometime.

So why the $22K contribution last year?

You are unaware that Wright bought into a high class and very expensive new home. Some churches are money laundering operations! ;)

You sure got that right. Religion itself, especially Christian protestant churches, are a farce, designed to keep the pastors rich while the flock stupidly tithes away their money. :p :p :p

I'm sure a lot of pastors are secretly atheists, because they know the church they're running is nothing more than legalized extortion.

You too can have God's free love for just $19.95 plus $2.00 postage and handling. :D

How does one resign from a church? I thought you just don't go there anymore. Stupid.

New one on me also? ;)

In Obama's case, most probably being an atheist, he just didn't know. ;)

If you want a real eye opener as to how organized extortio, er religion evolves
look into the latter day scoundrels aka LDS/mormons.
it's probably the only large scale religion that can be historicly followed using well documented facts from it's beginings
in wanted posters, lynch mobs and church sanctioned killings all the way through it's value's of "no gambling" "no mind altering drugs" and "no porn"
to financing the construction of sin city (Vegas) and heavy investment or outright ownership of major alchahol/caffinated beverage companies
and publishing companies heavily involved in pornographic materials.

and no I'm not athiest, nor am I overly religious, it just blows me away how many people have died over who's belief in the unknowable is better...
