Possible but we will be missing the most important component - Mayor Richard Daly. His role in 68 cannot be minimized.

It's hard to imagine that considering the gestapo tactics of mayor mike in NY during the FM's last nomination. There's probably no way that any sort of demonstration, peaceful or otherwise, will be allowed to happen anywhere near the venue. If people can't peacefully, silently, and unobtrusively dance at the Jefferson Memorial, they certainly can't stage a demonstration protesting today's awful conditions anywhere near a national convention, or probably anywhere else, for that matter. Freedom of Speech, and the Freedom to Assemble Peacably have both been cancelled by all those that are in power, not just political figures.

No, the fire's still there and there's a whole new generation of young people who know exactly what's going on, and they're doing what they can to get the truth out. But the repression that's going on is very powerful and permeates all of life. You won't read or hear about the "good stuff" going on in any media, mainstream or otherwise...about the only way to know about it is to have been lucky enough to have had personal contact with what's going on.

Darn, been a long time since I saw a good riot on TV! Sharpton can't even get a good one going in NYC!
Riots at both parties national conventions would be very good for the country!
