This AM here is AZ they said on the news that the fundraiser that McCain is holding today had to be moved from a larger planned place to a private residence which is smaller of course.
It appears that they could not sell enough tickets for funding of the larger place that had been planned.
I would appear that even his home state is not interested in donating to him!
They also said on the news that he would rather not be photographed with Bush.
What a party! :D

Yeah, there is a lot of that going around. I hear his ding bat wife doesn't even want to be seen with him.

There is no link. It was on TV this morning in the local news out of Tucson on KVOA television.

Here is a paper link to pretty much of what they said this morning on TV.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/05/27/mccain.bush/

And here is another. This one was also from a TV station in Phoenix and has some video.

http://rawstory.com/news/2008/BushMcCain_event_cancelled_due_to_low_0527.html

At this one they state the tickets were from $1k to $25K each.

Well she is better looking than he is and worth $110 million. Don't worry, that's hers, not his. And the pre nups say so!
A girl with that kind of money and breweries to boot. How could you go wrong???

And your source used for that info, according to your local news links posted, is a young lady working at the local Democratic headquarters. Now there's a good source for factual info on the Republicans, LOL!!! :D:D:D

I'll just bet that little girl has the inside track on politics!!! :D:D:D

OK, the first link I found ad posted that was similar to the news story I saw said~

"But the Phoenix Business Journal said the event was moved from the convention center due to lackluster ticket sales and concern over anti-war protesters. A McCain aide denied the report on poor ticket sales."

And the second one states about the same and has a link to the Phoenix Business Journal with the article.

Yes the video showed a young girl for the democrats taking credit for this. But is this journal a democratic one of some sort?
The fact remains that all this and the news behind it is being generated right where McCain lives.

You know, those of you that are left that still support the Bush politics programs really ought to read once in awhile. It could be educational.

Bush!? Here I thought Bush was the current 'lame duck' President!? Seems like somebody has some catching up to do on their reading!? I believe John McCain is the current Republican candidate!?

Since this affair is a Republican event, I doubt anyone except the party and individuals involved know the reason for moving it. Many private fund raisers are closed to the press and public, even Dumbocrat affairs. I don't think I would want to plunk down $1-25K for a ticket to a public circus, complete with Dumbocrat protesters and press. For that much cash, I'd expect a quieter and more controlled setting.

So grab your Bush protest sign and join the crowd. I'm more interested in the election of the new President.

McCain pretty well sealed his fate with his statement that he would never give up in Iraq, this handed the presidency to the DEMOCRATS spelled correctly by the way...

Hey, it's fine with me to just up and leave Iraq, no personal problem for me. I think the results will shock you and the Dumbocrat Party, but I can live with it, are you sure that you can also? :)

What's the difference between Bush and McCain.
This idiot has supported Bush and pushed for even more troops in each theater since we went back into this mess.
McCain cannot get the troops for this effort without the draft. He's just too stupid to know that.
As a senior senator from AZ he cannot even come up with a solution to the illegal immigration problem!
He says he has one and once he's elected he'll share his wisdom.

What, you mean the results of them fighting it out internally until they finally decide to quit only to be left so broke and broken that they still can't do anything to the US? You mean that outcome?

Sure, I got no problem with it. At least it will kill less people than a continued occupation will.

Don't bother with al Qaida talk either, the Shiites won't even allow that to happen. More like the Sunni's get kicked to the curb and it ends right quick.

We went back into this zone (Iraq) based on bad information about WMDs that did not exist (at least they did not find them).
We got rid of the tyrant that had been labeled that way by the world.
Many of the people in that region have been fighting amongst one another for many many years. Our presence will not change that.
There are many areas of the world that people are not treated right by their leaders.
That does not give the US the right to invade the country and just stay there with no goals.
And I liked Daddy Bush but this kid of his is something else. I think they ought to call for a DNA test to makes sure!

Jr. pulled a page from Dad's playbook for Iraq. So you've completely forgotten the testimony of supposedly poor Kuwaitis that were supposedly being tortured by Saddam's troops in Kuwait!? You don't recall that it turned out those Kuwaitis testifying hadn't even been in Kuwait during the Iraq invasion!? What a hoot!

Bush family is looking good here, voters looking like rubes.

Yea, it was so open that even Iran knew when our military was coming and ran them out when they tried to rescue the hostages. He is so open he tells state secrets of the Israel Government to the press. He was so good that many of the southern and western democrats changed to the Republican party. Just a shining example of what will happen should the democrats win everything in November.

We need balance in our government, not a "completely" open idiot like Carter.

YEP. But just as lousy a Governor as President. I lived in N GA during his term there as Governor, financial disaster for the state. But just as the Clinton's, Jimmy had loyal/paid friends to take the legal heat and take the prosecutions for him. That buffoon brother of his, Billy, was a hoot also. :)

I love how everyone bashes Carter, yet his record is as one of the most successful Presidents in the history of the US. He managed to get more of his policies through than any other President before or since.
That means the Republicans of the time backed him so you can blame them for the problems of the time as well.

But you won't, it's not how you roll is it?

As President, he was good for me financially. Dumped many stocks and moved funds to interest accounts. Those super high interest rates were nice! ;)
