Three wins to go to get the the NBA national finals. Zero games lost at home in playoffs.
Coach Phil Jackson's record when he's had a team win Game 1 of any playoff match: 40-0. 40 times the team went on to win the match, 0 times they didn't.
Looking forward to a Lakers-Celtics finals.

::Yep, you're right. Neither Celtics nor Lakers have lost a home game yet in the playoffs.
Now...who has home court advantage for Game 1 of the finals?:)
"Now...who has home court advantage for Game 1 of the finals?"
Celtics have home court if they make the finals, Steve, because they had the best regular season record......I'm sure they are going to need it!,:D
Especially the way the Lakers played last nite;Spurs must be kick'in themselves good for letting that game slip away!

DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE...........up until now I thought you were one of the brightest bulbs in the forum. You're clueless, ain'tcha?
If you come to San Antonio for a game, allow me the honor to treat you and your wife to dinner. NO KIDDING. You WILL get a magnificent feed. Severe Tex-Mex and margaritas that'll make you take coordinates to find your way back.
Then the gloves come off. The Spurs will hand you your fanny and ship you back to LA-LA Land where you belong.

The Spurs DO NOT like to make it look too easy. Only toying with the Lackers.
EMBRACE THE HATE IN 08.
Barkley will be in podunk land again bored to tears with nothing to look at but the Riverwalk. (You know, if he's looking for excitement, he just needs to get his car to take him to Nueva Laredo..........ching* ** ***** arriba arriba yeehaw bang bang!!!) The nation will see Spurs (aka La Cucarachas) vs The Pistons. David Stearn will resign in disgust. We will watch Kobe cry some more.

Well, Boston got whomped last night and their home court win streak is broken.
We'll see tonight at 9:00 what happens in my town but I have money on a second win for L.A.
The Spurs won't go down without a battle. But I understand Kobe's bringing his fourth quarter game to the start of this one; should be interesting.

Hey Danny, can you say, "blow out?"
Which is what happened to the Spurs in Game 2 Friday night. What was it, 101 to 71? Something like that...
Let's see what happens tonight back in San Antonio.
I'm predicting Game 3 will go to the Lakers also.

Yeah, Lakers looked sleepy last evening, that's for sure. Spurs did a great job and got terrific production from Genobili -- I don't know how that guy plays so hard with a bum ankle. Gives new meaning to the words, "suck it up."
Next one's tomorrow night, I'll be watching!
Still 2-1 for now, though!

Wish you and your better half could join me in San Antonio. My treat to incredible food and drink - I'll even show you my laboratory. Then you'll get you butt handed to you on a silver platter.

::My butt doesn't deserve a silver platter. China would do, but thanks for the offer.:p
I'm a basketball (NBA) fan for many years and am definitely enjoying this season! Tell the truth, I've never been to a home gain in San Antonio, and that really would be fun. I've been to dozens of games at Staples Center here, and the Forum before that, and they've been great experiences.
Best one: XYL and I went to the "Forum Club" (restaurant at the Forum, very fancy place) in 1988 when I first moved to L.A. and "Showtime" was in its glory. We sat one table over from Kareem and his XYL, and Laker trainer Gary Vitti and his XYL and I walked over to ask Kareem for this autograph, then remembered I had nothing for him to sign. So, I ran (not walked) out to the lobby and bought a Lakers calendar for $10, and ran back in, hoping I'd make it in time. I did, and Kareem signed it with no issues. It's still on the wall, in the shack.

Stevie,
Perhaps you've answered one too many technical questions in here!
Sooooooooooo......did he sign Lou Alcindor?
Tomorrow promises to be a thrill:

::Nope, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, although it's hard to read all that.
I have a napkin signed by Worthy and Magic, but they didn't sign it for me; I got it as a gift.
Nah, these autographs won't really be worth anything, there are too many zillions of them out there. Just fun to collect.
A team signed basketball is very valuable. Working on that some day.:)

Yep, Lakers 4-1 against Spurs.
Kobe was so serious post-game. "We're here to win championships, and the season is just starting now."
Guess he has a finger or two left without rings on them.
Should be interesting next two weeks.

I can't imagine the Lakers blowing the NBA championship. They've got the young legs and team savvy to take out the Celtics or Pistons in short order. And yes, of course I'll be rooting for the team that spanked the Spurs. I wouldn't put my money anywhere else. Because they're THAT good.

Danny, I aqree with you. Lakers is a young team and has the NBA MVP who, although he hates to be called this, really is the "2nd Michael Jordan."
However, I also remember this: On any given night, any NBA team can beat any other NBA team, and that's a fact. When all goes right, they're all great.
The Spurs are great. I'm a huge Tim Duncan fan, but he is getting older, and that's better than the alternative.:p In reality, he's aged really well, better than most. Must be good genes.
I liked Robert Horry when he was a Laker and will never forget his shot with about 0.2 seconds on the clock which won the Lakers a huge decision game. All of my family was there with me for that, we had box seats 6 rows from courtside, which made us about even with the "heads" of the 6'10" tall players.;)
B-ball is a great sport because there's so much scoring, if you go to pee you can miss the important parts of the game. Unlike hockey or soccer, where you can disappear for 15 mins and nothing changes.:o
I'll always be a fan of all sports and all pro athletes because we're talking the creme-de-la-creme of humanity, physically. The NBA has 380 of the best conditioned people in the world -- think about it. That they make it "look easy" is part of the magic.
I was in track in HS and ran the 100-220-440 and 1/2 mile, mostly. I did it six times a day, 5 days a week, for four years. To condition, we'd run 4 miles every single day, even in the snow in winter. Then, I tried out for basketball and failed immediately because running the court 250 times in 90 minutes is a nearly impossible feat unless you're in the most prime condx. It's like deep water diving without a tank. Plus, my free throw percentage was 22% and they were looking for 50% minimum to make the team.
Hat's off to all the stars, including the Spurs. They are a great team, who happened to be defeated by another great team. Simple as that.
GO LAKERS!

My $$ is on L.A. Quite a lot of it, actually.
I'm guessing Lakers in six. But I'd be happy if it were Lakers in seven. In fact, I'd probably be happier, as that would stretch the season another couple of days.
