In Indiana we have "Motor Voter" where basically if you can walk into a Bureau of Motor Vehicle licenser branch, you can register to vote. So as you can imagine, the voter roles are rife with illegals. I hope this photo ID law works, but it's only as good as the enforcement.

I am 65 years old, just started drawing social security and enrolled in medicare, and now they ask me to show ID to buy a six pack of beer.
Wonder how long before you will have to show photo ID to make a cash transaction to buy food.
That would be one way to get rid of them thar illegal aliens. Starve 'em to death.

How can you starve out those who eat their way through the grocery store!? I never see them in the checkout line, but see plenty of them scarfing it up in the store, fruits & veggies consumed raw are very nutritious! One of the reasons that groceries are also escalating in price quickly, somebody has to pay for the theft. The employees have been told to not "make a big deal" about it and not to call the police?

What part of the law makes you sick?
Finally one of the few level headed and common sense decisions. It is quite obvious to anyone with half a brain, the dems did not want this decision because illegals and minorities usually vote the democratic line. Simple math says the more illegals, the more votes. The more illegals who cannot get documentation to identify themselves, the less votes for the dems.
Now all we need is for all other states to pass similar laws backed by this decision.

This is good for Obama and bad news for Hillary. She depended on the Mexicans to get out the vote, now it will be impossible for her to get the nomination.

Wow, that reminds me of when a kid way back, growing up in a poor 1 parent family in the assisted living federal projects. Since we didn't have much to eat either, my friends and I would bicycle down to the supermarket (I think it was an A&P) to go shopping. We would grab a shopping cart go to the deli, order ham sandwiches, get some cookies in the cookie aisle and then wash it down with milk from the (you guessed it) milk aisle. We did this while making believe we were shopping in the other aisles for stuff. Back then of course, no security cameras or guards. We never got caught. Free lunch. Ahh, those were the days or er years. About 50 years ago.

Bad news for Obama, at least in Chicago. His folks only get to cast one vote.

IZE i thought you would be down at the mission this time of day handing out bread to those who need a bite to eat.

So you admit that you are undemocratic and destroying the countries freedoms then. Excellent, at last some honesty!

You are a laugh...
Again today, truth, justice, fairness, and the American way rang out in court today. Voter fraud in Indiana, and across the Nation, will lessen with this common sense decision.
I have faith other states will enact similar voter ID laws soon enough.

And if I did that would be quite noble. And if you are curious, yes, indeed, I have devoted my time to helping people with problems who are less fortunate than I. Chalk that up to my conservative Roman Catholic upbringing of which I am proud despite the fact that I am not particularly religious nowadays. You don;t better society by dropping everyone with a gun.
So, what have you done for the benefit of your fellow man ?

The justices, in their majority opinion, admitted there had been no reported cases of voter fraud by impersonation in Indiana.

It looks like the court split on party lines again. Surprise, surprise, surprise...
I actually don't have a problem with this, as long as the Democrats with proper ID are actually allowed to vote, unlike Ohio and Florida.
So, what have you done for the benefit of your fellow man ?
Nothing, and i have no intentions of changing. I am a very selfish person, and it has served me quite well.

Well, I must admire your honesty.
Legitimate voters who "stand up", will be counted. Make every accommodation for true and lawful voters to receive distinguishing picture ID's of their likeness. :)
Illegitimate voters and practices be lost and doomed...
Absolute waste of time until the voting machines are secured and the software independently verified along with paper receipts.
It's likely that the vote was tampered with in the last 3 election in favor of the Republicans, but that could change depending on who "donates" the most contracts/grants/favors.
ID's won't stop some election board hack from tampering with the outcomes at his house the night before.

No, the margins might be big enough to overcome the rigging like it was in a number of Congressional elections last year. You know, the ones with less than a 1% difference yet the losers (all Republican by the way) never contested.
Can't push the numbers too hard or too many people might start looking at them funny.

Not at all, before Diebold they used to cry all the time.
Now that the votes funny though they can't bitch when that small margin of loss is in reality something like a 10 point loss. Investigation during a recount might expose the fraud.
I like the fact that one person one vote is becoming a reality.
A 6-3 decision is promising.

What? You didn't enjoy the "hanging chad" vote recounts? :)
I wanna be first in the primary vote, oops you can't have a primary that early doesn't amuse you? :D
It would be a dangerous thing to remove the entertainment value from politics, few would participate then.
Of course the LIB media would report it that way.

I'm still trying to figure out why requiring someone who wants to cast a legal vote in a legal election to have legal identification is...
mean-spirited
homophobic (Huh? Somehow you're gonna keep homosexual voters away from the polls by requiring an ID?)
knuckledragging (not even gonna address this)
mouthbreathing (huh?)
imperialistic (You must have an ID from the emperor or something?)
corporate America loving (it has a capital-A in it, sir... and in addition to it being an ID from the emperor, it must also be from a corporation?)
warmongering (uh... uh... It must be a corporate-sponsored 'military' ID issued by the emperor?)
anti-clean water (hmmm... They wash their ID with unapproved chemicals?)
bigoted (come on, if you're gonna call someone something, at least spell it right... and now the ID must say "Straight White People Only" on it?)
uber-right wing (they don't give IDs to anyone but people with uber right wing viewpoints? I'll have to remember that when I'm driving home later...)
racist (see previous, repetitive)
neocon (didn't we cover this one already?)
I get the fact that you feel you need to post it over and over, but the post itself doesn't make sense. Why is requiring someone to have legal identification to cast a vote causing such an uproar? I have to have one to drive, to buy alchohol, to cash a check, any number of different things.
Certainly something that is as sacred as the privilege to cast a legal vote should be defended even more vehemently than 'the privilege to cash a check'? Or do you have such a low value for your electoral process that you don't want to defend it from fraud?
Cheese with you whine??
