Special thanks to the following Radio Amateur Volunteers who performed community service for the Sweetwater 50K Cross Country at Sweetwater State Park, Lithia Springs, GA Saturday April 26, 2008:
Malcolm KG4CIU
Todd K9TOD
Michael KI4RDP
Steven KJ4BNO
William KJ4AXZ
Bert KE4FOV
You all were a class act and made not only WC4RAV shine, but
demonstrated first hand the viability of the Amateur Radio Service and
how it can serve the community. I want to thank each and everyone of you
for putting your personal needs, desires and wishes aside and spent your
Saturday serving through WC4RAV. I speak for all of the staff of the RAV
and the Sweetwater 50K Cross Country staff, Georgia DNR, and Douglas
County Public Safety when I say THANK YOU. Your dedication, time and
support is what motivates us to move forward as a team. And the team
performed flawlessly today. I am proud of you folks. I know I can count
on you at the next opportunity to serve our community whenever and
wherever the need may arise.
I wanted to post this to the forum to let the amateur community know we have some top notch amateur radio operators who understand and demonstrate by their actions how the amateur radio service can serve our community.
Many thanks,
Erik
