Saturday, April 25, 2008 is being celebrated worldwide by
Amateur Radio Operators, as International Marconi Day.
To commemorate this important day, Amateur Radio Operators
from SONRA and guest Clubs will operate from their
station, VO1AA in Cabot Tower, Signal Hill National
Historic Site. Signal Hill, being the historic place where
Marconi received the very first transatlantic wireless
signal, is a much sought after contact for Hams from all
over the world, VO1AA will operate from 1200 UTC to 1500 UTC.
From 1600 UTC to 2100 UTC SONRA and guest clubs will be operating VO1BZM, Admiralty house museum and archives which was a WWI and WWII Marconi radio site with the callsign BZM.
Look and listen for us on the air from both locations we mostly operate SSB but will be operating digital and CW, If you hear us give us a call.
