The "Pardon Pen" is used by Democrats and Republicans alike. It's a SOP affair in D.C.
It sure would be nice to get all those lobbying groups out of D.C.

Either you like, or you don't like criminal activity. Either you approve of criminal activity or you abhor it. Either you make excuses (rationalize) for other's crimes or you fight it every step of the way.
It is a weakness of the Liberals belief structure to be indiscriminate in abhorring crimes by all people and not making excuses for some. But hey. Some people have a conscience.

AMEN but what always amazes me is the fact that many seem to believe that only evil corporations are involved in lobbying efforts. Many very good organizations lobby the devil out of D.C. and the ARRL is among them.
