I dont hear as much on 3955 as I used to...guess some of the " old crowd " is scattered out ?? !!
Sure would be nice to hear the olden stations talking again !!
3955.... that's above 3800, right? :confused:

Nope...... radio still doesn't tune above 3800 on that band....... :rolleyes:
Gotta get that looked at.....

It's pretty clear that hams like to put all of their selectivity into their radios.

Hi Steve, Thanks for your comment. Would you like to perhaps offer some thought and ideas on how to improve at least 1 level...Not that you have to offer a new site any help on many levels. One shouldnt offer Criticism without also offering possible remidies.

Is this one of those frequencies that tries to take over an ongoing QSO so the buddies can cut 'er up for the whole evening?

Unless the pictures have gotten better since I saw them, you're not missing much. ;)

I can not transmit on 3955 (well I can but it would be illegal). I occationally check in on some of the 75m nets but it means working split and many hams have no idea how to work split so I don't get that many contacts. It also means that I will have to inform the NC of my transmitting frequency and, although it sounds clear this end, it might be QRM'ed on the other end and then I can't inform the net of my alternative xmit frequency. So, in short: split sucks.

They are still around Robert, 3950.5 late night, do not confuse these folks with the old crowd from 55...

You might sat that it is. The group has been here for 57 years every evening in the NE, SE and SW. With the bands the way they have been we havent been able to talk to our friends in the SW for some time. Used to be fun around 11:00 EST but alas the band gods have not smiled upon us.
