(CNN) — Chelsea Clinton has fielded a lot of questions as she campaigns for her mother's presidential bid, but on Tuesday the former first daughter faced a particularly awkward query for the first time.

Campaigning at Butler College in Indianapolis, an audience member asked the 28 year-old whether the Monica Lewinsky scandal had damaged her mother's reputation.

They finally made it to the Emerald City ...
....and went to find the Great Wizard

'What brings the four of you before the great Wizard of Oz?'

Jimmy Carter stepped forward timidly:
'I've come for some courage.'

'No Problem!' said the Wizard, 'Who's next?'

Richard Nixon stepped forward, and said:
'Well, I think I need a heart.'

'Done! Says the Wizard.'

'Who comes next before the Great and Powerful Oz?'
Up stepped Bush and said,
'The American people say that I need a brain.'

'No problem! Said the Wizard. Consider it done.'

Then there is a great silence in the hall.

Bill Clinton is just standing there, looking around, but he doesn't say a
word.

Irritated, the Wizard finally asks,
'Well, what do YOU want?'

'IS DOROTHY HERE?'

I thought she handled it well, telling the creep (probably a NeoKon) that it was none of his business.

I know you hate filled NeoKons want all the dirt, but in this case, Danno, you're stuck with minding your own business instead of sticking your nose up the backside of anyone who dares disagree with the boosh doctrine.

All you nosy NeoKons can now go pound sand.

It's NUNYA!

That's your answer. And she needed no preparation, unlike boosh, who must be programmed by his handlers before he even thinks of opening his pie hole.

Have a pleasant afternoon. :)

I have to agree, seemed like quite an appropriate answer as it is and was a family matter, at least it should have been.
Also, I'd have to say that Chelsea looks pretty good, I thought she was kind of a goofy looking kid (probably most of us were) and has turned out to be an attractive woman. I also agree that she is an adult, she's on the campaign trail, and anything is open game and she can decide whether to answer it or not.

The Franklin Coverup Hoax began on June 29, 1989, when the front page of the Washington Times bore the headline Homosexual Prostitution Inquiry ensnares VIPs with Reagan, Bush, and officially ended when a grand jury concluded that the charges were a "carefully crafted hoax", although the story still feeds conspiracy theories to the present day.

I think they are all attractive and well spoken young women, and have a pretty big burden to bear having parents in national politics, as evidenced by some of the comments in this thread.

Chelsea Clinton didn't lose her cool and gave an appropriate answer. The young man asking the question says he is a Hillary Clinton supporter, so who knows?

You can't blame any of these young women for who their parents are, and you can't blame them for trying to help and support their parents either, IMHO.

It is true Chelsea had no choice over who her parents would be. It is also a fact Chelsea is on the campaign trail working on her mother's nomination as Democratic Presidential candidate for the Fall election. Chelsea is an adult; if she wished, she could refuse to campaign for her mother.

If Ms. Clinton ultimately is elected President of the United States, her husband, former President Bill Clinton, will also be in the White House with his own staff and Secret Service protection. Ergo, questions about the problems of her father's Presidency are fair game for the mainstream news media, questions which they (big surprise here) continue to ignore.

It took a reporter from a college newspaper to rise to the occasion, and Chelsea Clinton's refusal to answer the question was as expected.

Legal problems such as lying during a Grand Jury investigation and behavioral problems such as infidelity to his spouse contributed to Former President Clinton's impeachment and near-removal from office. These are matters of history now and the Clinton campaign gets nowhere fast by refusing to own up to the past. The Clinton approach is evasion and subterfuge as they dig themselves a deeper hole. The Clinton marriage is the '800 pound gorilla in the room' (well, one of them anyway) and of course they wish the public to be pre-occupied with campaign fluff and feelgood messages. They and their surrogates are waging an ineffective campaign and the results thus far are proof.

The Clinton's marriage goes to the heart of questions I and I'm confident many others have surrounding the legitimacy of her candidacy.
1.) Am I to assume the Clintons persist in their marriage because it is in their mutual political interest to do so?
2.) What kind of person would stay married to an unfaithful spouse who had cheated on them, not just once, but repeatedly, and news of the affairs is publicized worldwide?
3.) Do we really want this sort of individual to be President of the United States of America?

Chelsea is campaigning for her mother. Sometimes it appears Bill Clinton is out campaigning for his third term. One of his flaws is he always has to get to the head of any parade; it's always all about him. I feel sorry for Chelsea; the family business is morally-bankrupt. Marketing a defective product is an impossible task.

Hillary Rodham Clinton might not have turned out badly, but decades of marriage to an unfaithful husband have taken their toll. Ms. Clinton lost what little was left of her credibility ten years ago when she didn't sue Bill Clinton for divorce.

The Clintons remind me of the proverbial camel's nose poking it's way into the tent- you don't want the camel in your tent. Barack Obama has to be cognizant of this. He doesn't want Clinton(s) on his Presidential ticket playing LBJ to his Kennedy.

The big problem is, as always, Bill. Hillary as Vice President means former President Clinton will have his own staff and will be causing damage as the loose cannon he is. Obama is far too intelligent to put up with any of that nonsense. So is the Democratic National Committee. I don't think there's a campaign donor with enough money to convince Barack and the DNC to put Hillary on their ticket and torpedo their chances of winning back the Presidency.

If the Clintons truly cared about the Democratic Party and more importantly, the United States of America, they would have taken the high road and stayed out of this, but they are not so inclined. The tone of her campaign is self-evident.

The Clinton candidacy is a non-starter. The 'high negatives' at the outset of her campaign were a dead giveaway. Her most visible supporters appear to consist of like-minded angry, older, white women- a sizeable constituency- but not enough to win an election of the 50 states. With men like former President Clinton and current Bush Administration running the show these women have every right to be angry.

The mainstream news media and polling organizations won't touch these subjects but they are at the heart of her electability problem with voters who do not like the Clintons and will not vote for them, no matter what.

Three Questions:

1) Why did Bush/Cheney vigorously resist a 911 Investigation.
2) Why was most of the rubble of the three collapsed buildings destroyed before any meaningful, detailed analysis?
3) Where were our air defenses on the morning of 9/11

No closure without these answers
__________________________________________________ _______________

Three Answers:

1-What was to be gained by investigating the most open book case in history? The most videoed, audio taped and reported event in history. It would amount to a review of your evening news for a year after the event. Of course it would have created high paying jobs for countless numbers of otherwise useless bureaucratic buffoons.

2-You actually slept through all the reports on the analysis of the steel from different sections of those buildings? And there was nothing learned from any of it.

3-Air defense systems are engineered to defend from threats coming at the U.S. from abroad, not threats inside the U.S.

Well, you've managed to address every possible issue now. You're even debating with people's signatures. You've saturated the forum with your opinion, spewing as much of your juvenile delinquent rhetoric as possible in just a few days. The forum is all about you now. Never, since I joined QRZ have I seen anyone spew as much venom in as little time as you. Like a loud mouthed drunk at a party, you will have your say.

You began your tirade by calling a man who moved from the states a criminal and tax evader, insinuating he moved for these reasons. I wonder, when you're on the air, if you ever do get on the air, if anyone else has a chance to have a go?

I just wanted to stop, and give you the recognition you deserve for your efforts. While you're not doing anything today, why not reel off another 3 or 4 dozen posts? Folks will love hearing from you. And only you.

I can't wait to see your reply to this. No doubt, it will be another one-liner, a neoconservative "zinger", worthy of your lack of wit, and class.

To correct your erroneous remark, I likened his anti-American remarks and his glowing praise of his current country of residence to many that I've heard from former American citizens that left the country for legal reasons. You are aware that this class is a fairly large one and is made up of many wealthy and well known Americans? I did not make any accusation only an inference.

BWAAAAHHHH !! :D:D Yeah right. Thats a good one. Who do you get your truth from ? Rush or O'reilly ?

In regards to Britain, from a local friend that is married to a British lady.

Also a local family of Brits that migrated to the U.S. to expand the marketing of the product they produce. Once they had supplied the Lords of Britain there was little market left for them there except in manitenance. We at the time had excess warehouse space that was unused, so we rented the space to them.

I'm sure all these Brits are part of a vast right wing conspiracy to trick the American public.

It also seems rather strange to me, being a dullard compared to your academic brilliance, why the devil the lines are so long at every post office around here for passports. As you libs have pointed out to me with much help from your American/British counterpart, our U.S. dollar is worth nothing in comparison to those EUROs. This would seem to me a very poor time to travel abroad but Americans appear to be doing it in much greater numbers than usual? How can holders of such useless currency possibly affford to travel out of the U.S.?
