There are two accepted spellings of the word "dingus" with the other being "dyngus".

The definition of a "dingus" is someone who does stupid things (see http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=dingus for the definition).

Former President William Jefferson Clinton visited South Bend, Indiana, today and the following was the first paragraph in one of the northwestern Indiana newspapers:

Now I know that Dyngus Day is actually a religious holiday observed on the Monday following Easter. However, the unintended "pun" just was "crying" to be shared!
