What kind of low life scum would rob a man in a wheel chair?

This is sick.

A Caroline County man who is confined to a wheelchair was the victim of an armed home invasion Wednesday - but it turns out he didn't have what the robber was looking for.

Robert Newcomb says he was awakened by the sound of his front door being kicked in at about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday. Newcomb says the robber, who was armed with a gun, was in his bedroom only seconds later.

"I had nothing on but a TV for light and he pointed a sawed-off shotgun in my face," Newcomb said.

Newcomb, who was paralyzed from the waist down by a car wreck nearly three years ago, says the robber didn't want money, but demanded painkillers - something Newcomb didn't have.

"He said, 'I want some Oxycontin. You're in a wheelchair - I know you got them,'" Newcomb said.

There is no excuse for what this guy did. However, at the same time we can chalk it up as yet another example of why we need to end this stupid useless drug prohibition that causes far more problems than it attempts to solve.

Hello.

Having met drug crazed people, I can say, par for the course.
The robber only had one thing on his mind, drugs, and where to get them.
I have had to deal with a drug crazed 12 year old, and, he later ended up killing someone over his "fix".
In Saudi Arabia, a drug user will stand out in the community very quickly, and be carted off just as fast.
In the US, it is always somebodys "baby", that would never do that.

Anymore people are nuts, they pick on ones who cant do anything, it's sad. I never understood much of why people do drugs, you know what it will do to you. You know how much it will cost, or what dangerous things it does to your'e ''Mind''. But thats why the only thing in my life i ever did was smoking cigarettes, yeah they cost to, and very addictive, but i did the least a is could, no matter how much i been through. I hope that cops, law, just catch every drug dealer or drug users, it be cleaner, and less diseases.
