Richardson wants the VP slot. He will need another job soon.

From a web site --- Richardson would be nothing and no one without Bill Clinton, but the New Mexico governor has done the math and seems to have concluded that it would be disastrous for the Dems to throw Obama overboard after his string of huge wins and the expectations they have raised among African Americans and young voters. The Clintons must be furious. The superdelegates who throw in with Obama publicly have to think of themselves as political equivalents of Brutus and Cassius --they are striking at the king and queen, and even if they succeed, they can expect the remaining Caesarians to pursue them for a very long time. The nastiness within the Dems is going to continue for many years to come as the Clintonistas are not a forgiving lot.

Yesterday I would have said no way, that Edwards was number one for the number 2 position, now I would say there is going to be a lot of behind the scene jocking for position.

Yep... Bucky Bill is buckin' for something. If not VP, perhaps his old job back as Secretary of Energy?

That is a Republican trait; to offer support solely on the basis of selfish gain has marked the neo-conservative movement from the start.

Richardson is merely making the better choice of which candidate to support. Not surprising that the difference in motivations would confuse you.

Albert what are you going to do if Obama doesn't get the selection, which could happen, are you going to vote for Hillary?

are you going to vote for Hillary?

Would have to wait till there are debates and see if McCain seems senile or not and whether he really is a rat in sheeps clothing. After that just wait and hope that when the time comes it is quick and painless...

Question wasn't about McCain, question again is if Obama doesn't get the nod from the democrat's is he going to vote for Hillary or none of the above.

Seems to me that's Alberto's business, station.

I guess you think you're pretty slick by thinking you're backing MIV into a corner. Nice try.

Besides all that, if you'd been paying attention, you'd know the answer to your own irrelevant question.

PS. Ok, I'll play your silly little game. The answer is yes. I'd vote for Hillary over McCain in a heartbeat...

Silly game, well I wasn't asking you, the question was to Albert, and you jumped in. Hey I just wanted to know if he thinks Hillary is a better choice then McCain. I know how he feels about Obama. Even the polls show that Obama is losing grounds within the Democratic circles.

Awesome comeback Dave. You don't mind if I quote that for future reference do you?

I was initially a Richardson supporter. As a matter of fact, his bumper sticker is still on my car. I don't think he's jockeying for VP. He just started his 2nd term as Governor. I do, however, think he would make a wonderful Secretary of State. I'm not sure that the Democrats would put 2 minorities on the ticket, but saying that, in light of what we've seen develop this primary season, I'd say it has a hell of a lot better chance of getting elected than it would have even only a year ago. To me, he's a no brainer for a running mate. That being said, I could also see him other places in the cabinet. I'd vote for an Obama/Richardson ticket in a minute.

And my response was how McCain is such a problem that Hillary might be a serious consideration. Course I had to include what a problem I consider McCain to be...

1) Might be suffering from Dementia
2) Known to be two faced switch hitter
3) Has enough questionable lobbyist associations, besides the BS NYT story
4) Might have been thinking about running with John Kerry in 2004 now he's Bush's biggest supporter. How do you reconcile that one, you can be sure he will never answer that one...

To my mind some people have shut their eyes to the reality of John McCain...

Whoever wins the Democratic seat will be facing a large sector of disappointed people. In Obama's case that would be the Hispanics, who deeply love Clinton for some reason. Bill Richardson could be the key to getting them to vote for the ticket, rather than stay home or voting for McCain. Richardson's mother is Mexican. He also lived in Mexico for part of his childhood. He has done a lot of work with diplomacy. He is one of the few westerners the North Koreans will even talk to. I can't imagine a better Vice President than him.

Well then get even with Fox and the Medium Wave and vote for the Candidate just to spite them...
