For a thousand more, what does the 2000 get you over the 950 ?
Both have the ability to use the MTUs and the Data Management options.
What would I get extra with the 2000 that I would notice on 20 meters ?
On 6 meters ? I'm thinking 50% on 6 and 50% on HF.

Thanks !

I had the FT-950 for about a month and moved on. It just didn't handle noise on low bands and my old TS-850 would easily hear. No matter the settings.

You need to talk to Rob Sherwood about their performance. Both are not considered competition grade/contest grade radios. The number bear that out.

I have found that the older FT-1000 is much better.

As to what is the difference, mostly in ergonomics and layout. Performance wise, about the same.

Recommend you pull up the product reviews on both from ARRL and read them. Then check with Sherwood engineering, etc.
