Please make plans to attend the 18th Annual Down East Hamfest in Kinston, NC on Sunday, April 6, 2008. Hours are 8:00 AM unti 3:00 PM.
The location is at Lenoir Community College, located at US 70 East and NC 58 South. This is a climate controlled building.
Economical Meals and Snacks are available at the Hamfest.
Pre-Registration Tickets are $4.00 each or 3 for $10.00. Tickets at the door are $5.00 each or 3 for $12.00.
Pre-registration tickets and tables are available from any member of the Down East Hamfest Association, Inc. or by sending a check or money order along with a self addressed stamped envelope (41-cent stamp) to Jean Dupree at the address shown below. Mail requests must be received by March 30, 2008.
Tables are $10.00 each
Electrical Outlets are $5.00 each
Table Location is assigned by the Hamfest
Prizes are as follows:
Pre-Registration: Dual Band Handheld Radio
3rd Prize: Dual Band Handheld Radio
2nd Prize: Dual Band Mobile Radio
1st Prize: HF Transceiver
Hourly Prizes
You must be present to win the Hourly Prizes; however, you need not be present to win the 1st, 2nd or 3rd Prizes. If not present for 1st thru 3rd prize, winner is responsible for shipping costs or making arrangements to pick up prize.
FCC Exams begin at 11:00 AM WALK-IN ONLY! Bring your original and a copy of your license and/or Certificate (if applicable).
Items to be sold MUST be related to Amateur Radio, Computers and Electronics. No Knives, Firearms, Animals may be sold or displayed.
No animals other than service animals are allowed inside the building.
